Mr Kiernan has been a Ex-Officio Committee Member since the beginning of the Committee’s formation in December 1999.

Ian Kiernan is the full-time Chairman of Clean Up Australia, a national non-profit organisation which co-ordinates Clean Up Australia Day - an event which has been held since1990 - and conducts year-round community education programs and environmental 'fix up' projects through Clean Up Australia Projects.
